Herein placed is a brief piece in which a packet of orders from the Admiralty Office in Whitehall is delivered to Captain Edmond Cartwright while he is in attendance at a fancy dinner.

The orders were created by myself.

The first bulk lot in production.

These are reproductions of the offerings of Mrs. Phillips in her shop at Orange Court in London. She designed them from sheep or goat's gut, pickled, scented and delicately fashioned on glass moulds by the hands of the proprietress herself. I will be providing the standard "Baudruches fines", and for the more cautious customers, the "Superfine Double" which was made from two superimposed and gummed caecums, the blind end of a sheep's bigger gut. They are to be Five dollars a piece. Contact me straight away to place your order before they run out!

Map of the 'Tennassee Government' $10



This map of the Tennassee Government (formerly part of North Carolina) is a hand drawn recreation of a map that was originally made by Tennassee native Gen. Daniel Smith. I am currently in possession of a goodly number of these prints, so there will be no waiting. Maps are printed on cream coloured paper stock and are approx. 8.5 x 17 inches! This is a great haversack item for the long hunters and military men, you'll never find your way on the frontier without a proper map!



ROYAL WARRANT $30
Signature of Royal Governor George Clinton


An example of a handwritten warrant. Printed in homemade walnut ink on ivory 24 lb stock. Royal crest at top is printed in black, sealed at the bottom with His Majesty's coat of arms in red wax.

The Text reads:

This shall serve as Warrant from His Majesty the King, the Royal Governor of the New York Province, His Majesty's Secretary, the Surveyor General or a designated agent of His Majesty, to claim a tract of land suitable for a forted station in the region of the German Flats below the Little Falls of the Mohawk River. The Survey being so made as aforesaid be the better enabled to defend and protect His Majesty's interests in said region.

Therefore, Major Wm. Bennett to whom I am advised by his Majes: Council to grant His Majesty's Letters Patent, has been directed in his Majesty's Commission & Instruction, to secure the Tract of Land aforesaid, which is to be no less than 200 acres, and further ordered to build a fortified station suitable to the proper defense and protection of His Majesty's interests and property. And for so doing this shall be your sufficient Warrant.

Given under my Hand and this Seal at Arms at Fort George in the City of New York the fifteenth day of October one thousand seven hundred and fifty.

MILITARY LAND GRANT $15
A Land Grant for Penn. dated 1760 for military service. Hand written in walnut ink on a pre printed form that I made myself. Sealed in wax and red ribbon. My land grant is based on one that was awarded to Brig. Gen Daniel Morgan


NON MILITARY LAND GRANT $15

TAX RECEIPT $10
A Tax Receipt is an excellent proof of identity to carry on your person. Here are two tax receipts dated 1759, paid in Albany, NY. Each is hand written in black india ink on a pre-printed sheet and finished off with a red wax seal.

ROYAL TRADE LISENCE $20

A License for those with business to tend in this country, dated for the 1760s. Document issued in PENNSYLVANIA and signed by John Penn. This document is perfect for the 18th century trader, printed on ivory 24 lb stock, NO wax seal.
A trade license for mr. McClintock from Virginia, 1763.
