Hello, I was just enjoying your blog. Jon Stealey directed me to it. I met him at Fort Meigs in Perrysburg, Ohio, where I re-enact primarily (you really should check out the fort sometime!) and learned a lot about the camera obscura. He even let me do a little drawing! It's a great instrument for doing little landscape drawings very quickly and it is easy to make reproductions from your original drawing. Did you get the chance to see a demonstration?

Jon did indeed give us a demo of the Camera Obscura. What a great guy, and a cool 18th century toy!
